Welcome back to Term 3! Is it just me who feels a little bit like it's groundhog day?
The first two terms of the year have been just as disrupted as previous years and we expect this one to be crazy with Covid-19 infections ramping up this winter. We have been hearing from parents across the country who are trying to navigate what this "new normal" looks like for our kids education. So many parents are telling us of their concerns that they are still locked out of school yards with minimal opportunity to connect with their school community. They are telling us that they feel fearful that they will never be welcomed back into classrooms. Are you feeling the same? Or has your school found innovative ways to engage beyond the school gates? We are also really interested to hear how you are all going with your school fundraising efforts? The last two years have not only made a big impact upon bottom lines but also our ability to run community events and gather together as a school community. We are really interested to hear how you are all going with putting your communities back together again. You will have your opportunity to tell us what ideas you have put into practice through our annual parent sentiment survey. It is coming soon!
The parent sentiment survey is a piece of work we are required to do by the federal government. Believe it or not they DO like hearing what parents think about! So please keep your eye out for the survey. It will be released soon and we will then report back to you what you all told us to tell the government!
